Philippines’ MSU-TCT, Taiwan’s NKUST ink MOU and MOA on the exchange, linkages

MSU-TCTO has formally inked Memorandums of Understanding and Agreement with the College of Hydrosphere Science of the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST) of Taiwan.

This collaboration is a realization of scouting for more opportunities for the university’s aspiring scholars and researchers in the field of Aquatic Science and Technology. The initial talk between the MSU-TCTO Chancellor, Dr. Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali, and the Dean Dr. Cheng Di-Dong happened last February 22, 2022 via Zoom, which earlier manifested both parties’ intentions for a strong cooperation and linkage in both the education and academic research.

National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST) is a merger of three former universities, namely; National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences, National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology, and National Kaohsiung Marine University, now becoming the largest technological university in Taiwan. NKUST offers eleven (11) colleges, to specifically mention the College of Hydrosphere Science, which TCTO is currently tying up with. Under the said college, it offers Baccalaureate and Graduate Programs in Aquaculture, Fisheries Production and Management, Marine Biotechnology, Marine Environmental Engineering, Seafood Science, and a Doctorate Degree in Aquatic Science and Technology.

In aid of promoting mutual cooperation and exchange, the agreement includes the following: exchange of scholars and researchers; conduct of joint researches, lectures and symposia; exchange of data and documentation in fields of mutual interest; cooperation of dual degree programs; and exchange of students.

菲律賓 MUS-TSU 與 臺灣 NKUST 聯繫交流並簽署MOU 及 MOA

菲律賓 Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU-TCTO) 與 臺灣 國立高雄科技大學 (NKUST) 正式簽署合作備忘綠與合作協議書。

此項合作是為大學在水產科學和技術領域有抱負的學者和研究人員尋找更多機會的實現。2022 年 2 月 22 日，MSU-TCTO 校長 Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali 博士和院長 Cheng Di-Dong 博士通過 Zoom 進行了初步會談，表明雙方加強合作的意圖和教育及學術研究的聯繫。

國立高雄科技大學（NKUST）是由三所原大學合併而成，即；國立高雄應用科技大學、國立高雄第一科技大學、國立高雄海洋大學，現已成為台灣最大的科技大學。NKUST 包含11所學院，特別是 TCTO 目前正與水圈科學學院進行合作。在學院下，所屬系所如水產養殖系、漁業生產與管理系、海洋生物技術系、海洋環境工程系、水產食品科學系的學士和碩士學位課程，以及水產科技產業博士班學位課程。

為促進相互合作與交流，該協議包括以下內容：學者和研究人員的交流；開展聯合研究、講座和座談會；在共同感興趣的領域交換數據和文件；雙學位項目合作；和學生交流。
