一、水圈學院水產科技產業博士班（以下簡稱本院博士班）修業規則（以下簡稱本修業規則）依據「大學法」、「大學法施行細則」、「學位授予法」、「學位授予法施行細則」、「本校研究生學位考試辦法」訂定之。

School and Graduate Institute of Ph.D. Program of Aquatic Science and Technology , College of Hydrosphere Science (hereinafter referred to as Ph.D. Program) Graduation Regulation (hereinafter referred to as Regulation) according to “University Act” “Enforcement Rules of the University Act” “Degree Conferral Act” “Enforcement Rules of Degree Conferral Law” “NKUST Regulations for Examination for Ph.D. students”.

二、本院博士班研究生在學期間相關事項：

Relevant matters for Ph.D. students in school:

（一）修業年限：二至七年（不含保留入學及休學期間）。

Study Period: 2~7 years (not including the period of enrollment and quit school)．

（二）學分制度及修課要求：

Registration:

1.學生選課均須經指導教授及本學院院長認可。

Student should gain the dean of hydrosphere science and thesis advisors’ s permission to choose the course.

2.博士班學生入學後，於修業期限內須修畢本所規定之最低畢業學分數三十四學分，其中包含必修十三學分、選修至少二十一學分。

A minimum 34 credits must be completed by each student, including 13 credits from the core courses of the major;21 credits from the courses in the fields required by the major.

（三）指導教授之聘任：

Employment of thesis advisors:

1.研究生在入學第一學期的第九週（內）前須選定指導教授，至少一人應為本院專任助理教授以上教師，惟研究生之配偶或三親等內之血親、姻親，不得擔任其指導教授，並提交經指導教授同意簽章後之「國立高雄科技大學研究生指導教授提報申請單」至本院備查。

Ph.D. student has to choose thesis advisors before 9^th week in first semester. that at least 1 person are is or was a professor, associate professor, or assistant professor. No committee member can be the spouse, blood relative or in-law within three degrees of consanguinity of the PhD’s candidate and file application form with college of hydrosphere science.

2.博士班研究生如須更換指導教授，應填寫「研究生指導教授異動申請單」並徵得原指導教授及新指導教授之同意與簽名後，繳交至本院核備。

If you want to change your thesis advisors, please fill out application but you also gain two thesis advisor’s signatures, permission. File application form with college of hydrosphere science.

3.前項第一目至第二目之指導教授若離職或退休，則須以共同指導方式處理。

According to (1) and (2) If thesis advisors are retired or resigned, have to do the way mutual guidance.

（四）成立研究生論文研究諮詢委員會：

1.依據本學院博士班研究生論文研究諮詢委員會設置要點規定，博士班研究生須於入學後，由該博士班研究生之指導教授成立研究生諮詢委員會，博士班研究生須於入學後第一學期結束前召開諮詢委員會議針對研究生博士論文主題規劃修習課程、進度與研究方向，並經諮詢委員會同意後，由該博士班研究生之指導教授提送本學院備查。

According to regulations for Instating the Advisory Committee Member, Council for graduate student thesis that thesis advisory of PhD student should set up an advisory committee after student enrollment. Set up an advisory committee member, council for PhD student thesis. PhD students have to call an advisory committee meeting that discuss thesis title and course, anticipation, research field before the end of first semester. Please gain advisory committee member permission and submit a document to college of hydrosphere science.

2.就學期間若更改博士論文主題，得再召開諮詢委員會審議。

If PhD student want to change thesis topic, have to call an advisor committee again.

（五）其他：

Others:

博士班研究生若有需要由院外專家學者共同指導時，需指導教授同意後，向本學院提出申請，並經由院務會議審理通過。

If it is necessary, Ph.D. students can raise a request that you need co-advisor outside of college. Please gain thesis advisor’s permission and submit an application to college of hydrosphere science.

三、博士學位候選人資格考核：

Ph.D. candidate qualifying examination (comprehensive test) requirement.

（一）資格考核：

Qualifying examination requirement:

1.入學後八學期內（不含休學期間）須通過資格考核，未通過者，得令退學。資格考核以論文計畫提審，未通過者得重考一次，若重考仍未通過者（未參加考試視同未通過），依本校學則規定應令退學。

Students are expected to complete the qualifying examination by the end of their eighth semester in the Ph.D. program. The only exception to this policy occurs when the student is granted an official leave of absence. Students are only allowed to take qualifying exam twice within this time frame. Failure to complete qualifying exam within the established time limits may lead to dismissal.

2.資格考核審查委員三至五人，由本學院或院外助理教授以上人員組成，經指導教授提名，院長同意後聘請之，委員之資格需符合學位授予法之規定。

The Examination Committee of each PhD’s candidate must consist of three to five members recommended to the dean by the teaching institute from among the scholars and experts inside and outside of NCTU specializing in the area of research or study of the applicant. These members must fulfill at least one of the following requirements. The organization of the committee shall be subject to the dean’s decision.

3.若研究生於更換指導教授前，已通過資格考核取得博士學位候選人資格，新指導教授得視情況要求重新進行博士論文研究計畫書審查，審議研究主題與方向，但不得因此喪失博士學位候選人資格。

A PhD student who has passed the PhD candidate qualifying examination (COM), other evaluations of the department (graduate institute) before they change thesis advisors. The new thesis advisors can see the situation, then decide whether they need to review their paper again (research field, direct). But can’t cancel the doctoral degree upon her / him.

（二）在學期間研究論文發表相關規定：

Thesis publication process of registration:

1.本院博士生於申請博士論文考試前之最低論文發表標準，至少需符合下列條件之一者：

Before students submit their thesis, have to conformed one of the conditions below:

(1)就讀博士學位期間研究成果需發表於(含有正式接受函)TSSCI、FLI、EconLit、SSCI或SCI列名的期刊論文至少二篇(需為第一作者或通訊作者，並僅限一人提出申請，投稿時或刊登時該期刊列在名單上皆可)。

Research results have to publish on TSSCI, FLI, EconLit, SSCI, SCI (need formal acceptance letter) at least two theses (you need to be first author or corresponding author and only for one person apply) during the PhD program.

(2)就讀博士學位期間研究成果需發表於發表(含有正式接受函)TSSCI、FLI、EconLit、SSCI或SCI列名的期刊論文至少一篇(需為第一作者或通訊作者，並僅限一人提出申請，投稿時或刊登時該期刊列在名單上皆可)，且至少有一項與博士論文內容相關之國內外發明專利。

Research results have to publish on TSSCI, FLI, EconLit, SSCI, SCI (need formal acceptance letter) at least one thesis (you need to be first author or corresponding author) and at least one dissertation context is study about invention patent during the PhD program.

(3)就讀博士學位期間研究成果需發表於發表(含有正式接受函)TSSCI、FLI、EconLit、SSCI或SCI列名的期刊論文至少一篇(需為第一作者或通訊作者，並僅限一人提出申請，投稿時或刊登時該期刊列在名單上皆可)，且至少有四項與博士論文內容相關之國內外新型專利。

Research results have to publish on TSSCI, FLI, EconLit, SSCI, SCI (need formal acceptance letter) at least one thesis (you need to be first author or corresponding author and only for one person apply) and at least four dissertation context is study about utility model patent during the PhD program.

2.就讀博士班以前發表之研究成果，或在博士班內發表與博士學位論文不相關之研究成果均不列入計算。

Published research before PhD program and other thesis has no relevance that was not allowing NKUST confer a master’s degree upon the student.

3.研究生所發表之著作，於註明該研究生所屬單位時，本校需為掛名單位之一。

Every thesis by PhD student published that need to indicate the service unit and NKUST have to be one of them.

4.若研究生有更換指導教授，須經原指導教授與新任指導教授書面同意方可納入畢業條件。若有其他爭議，由院長協調之。

If the student has changed thesis advisors, she/he must need to gain original and new thesis advisor’s signature, permission. There are other disputes were coordinated by the dean.

5.合聘及退休教授得遵照上述規定辦理，退休教授及共同指導教授論文掛名順序，請依實際指導情形自行協商。

Co-hire and retired teachers have to fellow regulations as stated above. Retired teacher and co-advisor have to negotiate the name of thesis advisor of sequence.

6.以上標準僅為資格考必要條件，充分條件由指導教授及所長全權認定。

The determination criteria of the qualifications in subsections 1. to 5. of the foregoing paragraph shall be prescribed by each thesis advisor or dean.

（三）博士學位考試：

The PhD candidate qualifying examination

1.一百零九學年(含)以後入學博士班研究生於提出論文考試前，英文能力須符合下列方案其中一案：

A PhD student of NKUST who are fulfilling After 109 academic year enrollment students (including 109) must fulfill at least one of the following requirements can apply for an oral defense.

(1)IBT-TOEFL-六十一分或TOEIC-六百五十分

IBT-TOEFL 61 points or TOEIC 650 points.

(2)全民英檢中高級初試通過。

Passed General English Proficiency Test (GEPT) high-intermediate level first round.

(3)參加台灣以外地區以英文為正式語言之國際研討會並以英文口頭發表論文二次。

Give twice the oral presentation for thesis with English in international seminar that English is there official language.

(4)外籍生不在此限。

Foreign students do not include all the requirements.

2.研究生於通過博士學位候選人資格考核，並符合論文發表等相關規定後，由指導教授推薦，於學校學位考試申請期限內提出申請，始得參加博士學位考試。學位考試應於研究生申請之該學期學校行事曆規定學期結束日之前完成。

PhD students who passed qualifying examination requirement and thesis publication process of registration can be recommended by the thesis advisor during the application deadline.

3.組織博士學位考試委員會，依下列規定辦理：

Registration of PhD oral defense committee. All oral defenses must comply with the following rules.

(1)考試委員五至九名，其中校外委員須為三分之一(含)以上，考試委員會召集人應由校外委員擔任；指導教授得為委員，其中教授必須佔考試委員二分之一(含)以上。

Thesis advisor of NKUST must select members to form the PhD oral defense committee. The committee must consist of five to nine members recommended to the president by the department or graduate institute from among scholars and experts inside and outside of NKUST specializing in the area of research or study of applicants. The number of members from inside of NKUST should be a convener and must be no less than a third of the total number of members. The number of members from outside of NKUST must be no less than one and half of the total number of members.

(2)本校兼任教師得提聘為校外委員。

NKUST part-time teacher to be appointed outside member.

(3)考試委員一律不得聘任與應考研究生有三親等內之血親、姻親等親屬關係人士。

No committee member can be the spouse, blood relative or in-law within three degrees of consanguinity of the PhD’s candidate.

(4)以未曾任教授者、未擔任中央研究院院士或未曾任中央研究院研究員者，擔任考試委員，必須經所務會議審議通過。

If the person is or was not a professor, Academicians, researcher of Academia Sinica in committee that should pass the review of graduate institute meeting.

(5)考試委員由本學院院長提請校長核聘之。

Committee is appointed by dean proposing to the president.

4.本學院博士論文考試不及格而其延長修業年限尚未屆滿者，得於次學期以後申請重考，重考以一次為限；重考不及格者，即喪失取得博士學位之資格。

The PhD student who fail the exam and study period isn’t over can re-examine once next semester. Re-examine still fail that are according to regulations. A postgraduate student who fails to pass the oral defense or complete all required courses within the maximum period of study must drop out of NKUST.

四、本規定如有未盡事宜，依有關法規及本校相關教務章則辦理。

五、本要點經院務會議通過，陳請校長核定後施行；修正時亦同。

If there are any issues that are not covered in this regulation, they shall be handled in accordance with relevant laws, regulations and relevant academic rules.

The above regulations are announced by president to take effect after approved in the college council and the same shall apply to any amendment thereto.
